Canada’s national medical marijuana program:
A model for the U.S.?

In July 2001, the government of Canada announced a new program that promised safe, legal access to medical marijuana for seriously ill Canadians. Unfortunately, recent reports have raised doubts about the Canadian government’s commitment to that program. The Coalition for Compassionate Access is committed to working with Canadian patients and activists who are trying to make Canada’s program a true model for the U.S. and the world.
